What a great read. Informative and easy to read. Illustrative language. It’s clear that the authors know this matter, because describing it to the public seems easy to them. A great resource

This weighty tome is full of what you need to be an informed part of the conversation about “energy” and what that actually means. It is chock full of data, analyses and opinion, based on both, that will cut through the current babble about renewables and the future of this planet. It opened my eyes and I thought I was a smart guy.

This thoughtful, incisive book is a nifty antidote to all the infectious babble of misinformation in the media about the supposedly urgent need to dismantle our fossil-fuel-powered civilization before the planet dies. Antidote because it’s chock-full of relevant energy data – often complicated facts and figures rendered understandable, or “energy made easy,” as noted in the title. What would happen to us if hysterical politicians did away with the diesel engine, or the jet engine? Could we power our farm equipment, plant and harvest our crops and take them to market, to our supermarkets relying on only wind and solar power? What will happen when the shelves of our stores our not restocked in the three-day just-in-time supply-chain cycle that our civilization is built on? How will life-giving medicines get to the local CVS, or to hospitals? And what happens to those states that, in a frenzy of environmental virtue, do away with nuclear power plants? Why is France succeeding with nuclear power, and Germany suffering without it? Why is California the ONLY U.S. state having to import foreign oil in a time when fracking has rendered the rest of the U.S. a net-energy exporter, thanks to the miracle of fracking? These and so many other questions and headline issues are answered in this indispensable book, in terms the layman (like me) can easily understand. About time!

The book is a must read in the volatile climate of politically charged rhetoric in the debate over human-caused global warming. ENERY MADE EASY is a thoroughly researched (more than 700 citations), intelligent answer to deal with the ever-expanding need to create cleaner energy and an explanation as to why renewable energy sources are limited and will never give the world the energy it needs.
